Peppa Pig FREE crochet pattern

• In the pattern are color changes, so pay attention to the color written before rows
• I made legs, arms and tail using „NO SEW” method but you can made them separately and sew it to the body 

 

Materials:

• yarn in three colors, I use Luna Art Baby Fox color PINK, RED and BLACK
• a little of DARK PINK yarn for face details
• 4,5 mm hook (or fitted to your yarn) 
• stitch marker 
• sewing needle 
• stuffing 
• safety eyes (I use 16mm color white) 
• scissors 

Abbreviations:

MR – magic ring 

R – row 

ch - chain

sc – single crochet 

inc – increase 

dec – decrease  

f.o – finish off 

slst – slip stitch

in BLO – in back loops only

hdc – half double crochet 

hdcinc – two hdc in one stitch 

Pig in Red Dress:

Head:

Use PINK yarn

1. 8sc in MR

2. hdc inc x8 (16)

Work in third loop of hdc (photo instruction):

3. in third loop of hdc - sc around (16)

4-5. sc around (16) (2 rows)

6. inc x8, 8sc (24)

7. 4sc, inc x6, 14sc (30)

8. 4sc, (sc, inc)x6, 14sc (36)

9-14. sc around (36) (6 rows)

15. (4sc, dec) x6 (30)

Insert safety eyes between R10 and R11 about 11 visible sts apart on both sides of head

16. sc around (30)

17. (3sc, dec) x6 (24)

18. (2sc, dec) x6 (18)

19. (sc, dec) x6 (12)

Stuff the head

20. dec x6 (6)

f.o and close

Dress:

Use RED yarn

1. 8sc in MR (8)

2. inc x8 (16)

3. (sc, inc) x8 (24)

4. (2sc, inc) x8 (32)

5. (3hdc, hdcinc) x8 (40)

In next round work in the third loop of hdc (instructions on page 4)

6. in third loop of hdc - sc around (40)

7-11. sc around (40) (5 rows)

12. (3sc, dec) x8 (32)

13. sc around (32)

14. (2sc, dec) x8 (24)

15. sc around (24) 

f.o, leave a yarn tail for sewing, stuff

Ears (make 2):

Use PINK yarn

1. 6sc in MR

2. (sc, inc) x3 (9)

3-4. sc around (9) (2 rows)

5. (sc, dec) x3 (6)

f.o, leave yarn tail for sewing, stuff a little

Shoes (make 2):

Use BLACK yarn

1. 6sc in MR

2-6. sc around (6) (5 rows)

f.o, stuff and close, leave yarn tail for sewing

Arms (make 2 on both sides of body):

Use PINK yarn

I made the arms on R14 of the dress.

Insert your hook into the stitch were you want to have the arm and make 10ch, turn and make 3slst from 2nd chain from the hook, make another 3ch and again turn and make 3slst (last slst in same ch were you ended first finger), repeat with 3rd finger and make 6sc along the chain. F.o and weave in yarn ends.

Legs (make 2):

Use PINK yarn

I made the legs on R3 of the dress.Insert your hook into the stitch were you want to have the leg and make 6ch, from 2nd chain from the hook, 5sc. F.o and weave in yarn ends.

Tail:

Use PINK yarn

I made the tail between R6 and R7 of the dress.

Insert your hook into the stitch were you want to have the tail and make 10ch, from 2nd chain from the hook, 9inc. F.o and weave in yarn ends.

Final steps:

• Sew ears to the head on R15 and R16 about 3-4 visible sts apart.
• Sew shoes to the legs.
• Sew head to the body
• Using DARK PINK yarn add some face details, make smile an two nostrils.
